How to use the Dog Size Planner
The Dog Size Planner brings four measurements together so you can start with one set of numbers instead of guessing separately for every type of gear. Measure your dog's body length, sitting height, chest girth and neck circumference, then enter those values above.
Measure consistently
Use a flexible tape and keep your dog standing or sitting naturally as the field requires. Avoid pulling the tape tightly around the body. The measurements are starting points, not a substitute for the exact dimensions published by a product manufacturer.
What the plan gives you
The planner combines the inputs into a starting crate size, an adjustable collar range and a harness size. This makes it useful when you are preparing to shop for several items at once. For any purchase, open the product's own size chart and compare the actual measurements before ordering.
Do I need every measurement?
Yes. The planner is designed to use all four inputs so the combined plan is based on the measurements that matter for the different products.
Why can a brand chart differ?
Brands use different patterns, materials, fits and size bands. A calculator gives a starting point; the product chart is the final check.
Should I measure my dog again later?
Yes, especially for puppies, dogs gaining or losing weight, or dogs whose coat or body shape has changed.
Can one size work for every product?
No. A dog can need different sizes for a crate, collar and harness because each product uses different measurements.
